Reshape your Packaging Materials with Global Standards
In recent years, due to environmental changes such as the expansion of overseas production and increasing uncertainties, safe and healthy food packaging throughout the supply chain from food preparation, packaging, transportation, distribution, retailing, food packaging materials paper, plastic, ceramics, glass, metals, cardboards etc. must be compliance to the global standards in order to protect the consumer safety and for sustainable development.
A safe and healthy supply of adequate quality of food is essential important for sustaining humanity and quality of human life. Direct or indirect physical, biological or chemical contamination of food or food packaging materials not only endanger the health of consumer but also cause a major threat to the global supply chain across the globe. Therefore, global legislation is needed to ensure that the packaging materials used to handle or protect food do not become a source of food contamination.
This course emphasized clear communication of food safety concepts, hazards, preventive measures, food packaging materials, international standards, auditing, effective use of corrective action, and follow-up to ensure toward successful attainment of company business and food safety objectives and also helped to focus on design, sanitation, operation, and monitoring of food handling and manufacturing areas to reduce the risk of contamination of foods from pathogens.
CPPEx Global with collaboration of Eurofins Germany arranged a training session on 27 and 28 October 2020 for the VET students as well as industrial professionals to train them, how to compliance the food packaging materials with the global regulations. During this session, the speaker train the session participants with the global regulations related the food packaging materials. The speakers spoke about the four most commonly used standards such as European Union standards, US-FDA, GCC and Halal standards on all packaging materials such as paper, plastics, metals, glass, were discussed throughout the session. This training session was based on two days and participants had fantastic and interactive discussion based on case studies, question and answer session.
The participants of this online training session joined across different fields including students from dairy and agricultural universities, food technologist, chemist, engineers, and supply chain professional, food producers, packaging materials manufacturers, and plastic manufacturers based from South America, Europe, south Asia, Middle East and Australia.
